How theming your phone affected you?
Some do it for fame, others for the girls, most do it for a chance to make money or simply to be the mightiest greatest screen in the room.
I personally started because i wanted my phone to look nice, but eventually saw how icons are everywhere and their crucial importance… i was hooked.
*Theming need to be included in the dictionary ASAP.

– Can't agree more….:)
+Braden Nida +Johnny Thomas
+Mikki Torres YES! and yes!
Dem icons….
That's how I started, I wanted to make my phone look good. So I started using stuff from other themes and mixing them together. Still not happy with the outcome I started creating framework and app images of my own and haven't looked back. Theming has been in my dictionary for at least three years.
+Rob Massie Amazing… would you say that's your main job today?
No +Phlash Tha unfortunately not, I still got a day job. I can't afford all my devices without it lol. Besides right now I'm learning more of the development side of thing so I can help the dev team I work with +TheCollective AndroidTeam .
+Rob Massie yeah i suspect that opportunities are greater on the dev side than on the design side of things in android… nevertheless one can't live without the other…
+Phlash Tha not so sure about that, it seems like its getting harder and harder to flash custom ROMs on some devices so it might get to the point where the design aspect is all people are gonna want to change on their device due to fear of bricking their device. Luckily for the hardcore Android user there will be other devices running pure cm that we can still play with.
+Rob Massie what a pleasant perspective (for designers) … i haven't seen it that way before…
+Phlash Tha I want to learn programming for android , what language should I start to learn first in your opinion?
Thanks
Even when I had a dumbphone, I was always trying to max it out, testing it's limits. Once I got a smartphone, especially Android, it was all about finding a functional setup with lots of style.
I'm constantly trying to find ways to refine my homescreen now. I don't change them out as often as I was, because the functionality has overpowered my need to constantly change the look.
+Jonathan Lyman Java and C+ seems like popular choices… or maybe its because those are the ones i don't know? hehe
+Jonathan Lyman java is the main android language, you can start there its a good language to learn
It's about making my phone mine. Knowing it's unique and no one else has a phone that looks quite the same.
I love it the one reason of Many that I am happy to have Android for currently have gingerbread icons Mixed with candy cane ones on a dark red background
TheLLCD is the greatest canvas for creativity.
