Icon making?
While giving you a daily dose of icons… i was wondering, how many of you have ever tried making icons?
Did you enjoy it?
This image is an actual icon from a new pack called Tha Colored Pencil available now right here: http://www.tha-icon.com/product/tha-colored-pencil/

Darn it didn't bring my wallet to work, will have to wait till I get home. looks damn good! Also +Phlash Tha add google wallet checkout rather then paypal to your website pleeease.
Play store link? I'd like this pack as a theme…
I did not enjoy it. My design-fu is lacking.
+Mihnea Manduteanu FYI on the icon page on my site there's a informations tab when you look at a pack. On it you'll see the direct link to the Google Play store. This goes for every pack on the site.

Damn, I' ve to check how to use another launcher. Stuck on Sense for years but this is awesome. Good job, mate….keep up tha good work!
I have never tried and do not intend to. Coding, art, and patience have never worked for me. I have tried to learn coding, at one point in my career I thought I was going to be a DBA and spent lots of time, energy, and money to get there. My traits do not work in this field.
I simply offer ideas, inspiration, money, and implementation.
+Gabe Andrews interesting to know… i never knew that side of you 🙂
+Gabe Andrews I'll take some of that money! +Phlash Tha I haven't made any icons yet but I am about to dive in. Any suggestions or tips?

I've made some Nav icons before. Was a lot tougher than I thought going in. Looked great on the computer but once I got them on my phone I quickly realized they needed some major simplification (and a diet!).
+David Estey yea… first thing that hits you when making icons is the size!… back in the days it was 48 pixels by 48 pixels so today's designer have it not so bad…
I'm trying to learn, just bought adobe Photoshop cs6 and plan on spending the day learning how to use it ( realize this isn't a 1 day learning experience)
+Joe Repasy awesome! … starting with cs6 will save you a lot of bs older versions have.
Good to know…suddenly realize why you charge what you do after paying for it lol
+Joe Repasy I will be taking +Phlash Tha advice and starting a community for designers to help each other learn, give advice, ideas and to get some feedback on their work. Would you be interested in joining ?
+J SeventySixx yes I would but realize I'm a newb at android.only been playing with it for 8 months and have zero design abilities at this point
But yes and thank you.
That would be the whole concept behind the community +Joe Repasy a place for us newbs to learn and help each other along the way
I've made icons and themes for roms on the OG Droid. I'll have to post some pics when I get a chance.
Never tried. Too many good people who really know how to out there…
