Inspired by the color your exhaust pipe on your motor vehicle that turned to rainbow when you switched to higher grade fuel. This bluing which is caused by a lean condition. When the fuel mixture becomes lean it causes the pipes to overheat (and overheating in general), especially where the pipes meet the heads. The chrome then turns blue.
